I recently completed a Microsoft Self-Audit and discovered that we have an additional 50 copies of Microsoft Office 2010 Professional Plus, MAK. I have contacted customer support via online chat and they have confirmed my key is valid, they gave me a number to call to continue my quest for the download. Upon calling that number it told me to fill out a form online and it would put a ticket in for someone to call me. The fee for submitting that ticket would be nearly $300 dollars (I might as well get the next version of office). I have searched the web for days now and have attempted to download then activate every trial version and have had little luck. I also discovered a page that allows you to use your product key to download a copy of the version you need, however when trying to submit it it states that the version of office associated with the key does not allow additional copies to be downloaded.
Although my company states they are willing to purchase the updated software I would feel bad losing 50 copies (which close to the number of employees in this company) of office 2010. TL;DR 50 extra keys with no download page. I recently completed a Microsoft Self-Audit and discovered that we have an additional 50 copies of Microsoft Office 2010 Professional Plus, MAK. Office ProfessionalPlus is a Volume Licensing entitlement - most of the information you would have found, would probably be irrelevant to VL entitlements (e.g. Office Professional, which not a VL product, it's only a Retail or OEM entitlement) VL products use either KMS or MAK product keys. MAK pkeys (Multiple Activation Key) is a single pkey which allows multiple activations. Some of my MAK pkeys allow 5000 activations) e.g.
If you purchased 50 licenses for OfficeProfessionalPlus, you would be granted a single MAK pkey, which you are able to use (at least) 50 times. When you sign-up to a VL agreement, you are granted access to the MSFT VLSC website, and that is where you access your entitlements (pkeys, product downloads, etc). The VLSC also allows you to see how many MAK activations your entitlement provides, and your current consumption of those activations (e.g. 35/50 tells you that you've activated 35 of your entitlement of 50 activations) MSFT typically allow latitude for MAK actions counts, to cater for re-installation situations, PC replacement etc. (so they actually give you more than 50, even if you only purchased 50). For MAK, this is important to know, because every activation will always be counted - even if it's the same PC being re-activated.
If you don't have access to the VLSC website, this could be because it was never setup for you by your reseller, or maybe somebody else in your organisation may have had the information but not actioned it. As retail version, we can only use one product key to activate one version of Office, we can't use one key to activate multiple Office. And the number of MAK activation is limited. This number depends on the type of agreement you have. The number of activations can be revised (at the request of the customer or of Microsoft) to accommodate your regular usage.
Best regards, Greta Ge TechNet Community Support It's recommended to download and install, which is developed by Microsoft Support teams. I have a MAK (Multiple Activation Key) that my invoice says is good for 50 copies of Professional Plus 2010, should I have received different 50 keys to activate the same version of office? Hi Wiley, Seems like you're a victim of a scam.
Due to your extensive search you have infected your computer with many unwanted 'facilities' You seem to trust everyone and in certain environments that's a socially good quality. However, this is internet. I'd recommend you to do a full offline scan together with your fellow friends who only think good of internet.
Please answer if you need instructions how to do an offline virus scan, Best regards George I think I know a little more about how society works than to download a virus, everything I attempted was through a Microsoft website (if there was a link outside of Microsoft for a 'download' I did not take it). Although because I am a cautious person I have completed a virus scan with no threats detected. I appreciate your concern however it is needless. Allow me to clarify my post. We have a server that has been working for 6 years.
6 years ago we hired a contractor to purchase hardware / software for the server and set it up. He purchased 50 copies of Office 2010 Professional Plus.
When I got hired I completed an audit and located the invoice showing our extra copies. I have used Microsoft customer support to verify the key and it is good.
I do not wish to get charged an extra 300 dollars for the expert customer service rep to send me a link. Searching the forums I located someone who was also looking for Professional Plus 2010, one person who replied to him was ' Rohn007 '. Rohn007 was very descriptive and sent others to the microsoft.com website.
